Technology Associates has over 10 years of corporate experience delivering enterprise software solutions. From our first contract, TA has used leading-edge technologies to transform the software development processes and expectations of our customers. And we continue to do so as we move our customers from the three-tiered data model of the early 1990’s into today’s service-oriented architectures.
Technology Associates can tailor the customer project management process to meet the unique requirements of any project size or pace. TA has practiced iterative development and delivery processes since the mid-90’s, before Agile was a buzzword. We have consistently used automated tools to manage programs, from scripted project builds with Make, product configuration management with CVS, or project tasking and status using Jira.
TA has re-tooled its development approach over the past decade, moving from Microsoft-centric technologies like Visual Basic and Internet Information Server to open-source and open-standard technologies such as Java and Apache. We have expanded our database expertise in Sybase SQL Server and Oracle to include XML data formats and the mySQL database. And TA has developed new skills in support of recent technologies, such as Plumtree portal server, IBM and BEA web application servers, and development frameworks such as Jakarta Struts and Hibernate data persistence.
What has remained constant in the past decade is our sensitivity to the problems that accompany large-scale software development efforts, such as conflicting or unnecessary requirements, integration issues with third-party systems, legacy data sources, end-user training, deployment, and the O&M cycle.
